In
1991 the Addison Chamber of Commerce and the Addison Industrial
Association merged, to form the Addison Association of Industry
& Commerce, Inc.
Our
new organization worked in cooperation with its members from the
commercial and industrial business community, to retain and develop
business in Addison, and to represent business to local, county,
state and national governmental agencies.
In
2003 the members voted to change the name to the Addison Chamber
of Commerce and Industry. Our organization serves over 300 members
from within our community and neighboring municipalities. Although
our name has changed, our commitment to be of service to our members
and the business community of Addison as a whole has remained the
same.
We
offer many excellent networking opportunities for our members by
means of our monthly luncheon meetings, breakfast sessions and seminars
where our expert speakers provide attendees with valuable and up-to-date
information. Our social gatherings such as scheduled business after
hours events, which are sponsored by members, the annual golf outing
and holiday cocktail party, offer opportunities to get to know each
other better. Our bi-monthly newsletter "Shoptalk" provides
up-to-date information to our members on legislative matters, business
conditions and more.
By
promoting, informing and protecting its members and the business
community-at-large, the ACCI is an invaluable entity in showcasing
the advantages of doing business in Addison. For more information,
